A walk in the dark

An Orgy of Escalators
Shanghai Times Square

Meyer-Optik Görlitz Lydith 30mm f/3.5

A colour image is impossible: lighting in the escalator atriums consist of a nasty mix of tungsten and fluorescent light. If I white balance for one, I get swathes of maroon/green for areas illuminated by the other.

Shanghai has a few elevated highways, all of which are massive infrastructure developments and enable motor vehicles to drive in the sky.

This is the pedestrian bridge from which the previous photo was taken. Due to the pedestrian bridge's longish span, it is prone to a bit of oscillation when heavy vehicles thunder overhead. Feels like a cruise ship.

Not necessarily so, hobo can have sea legs. But he'd sway and wobble when he returns to grade.

In theory, you could use Hue/Saturation/Lightness to pull the green into an orangey hue and tweak everything back to neutrality. I think.

Also a bit slow I know but I just realized why you got the 30mm... makes a great view on APS-C.

Since i shot using RAW, i have them white balanced for two light sources. But the blending between two images would be a royal pain. So screw it.

I think your method requires some careful blending too. So screw it, too.

The view is decent, comparable to that of a 50mm on film. A tad slow though, would love to get my grubby hands on a 28mm / 1.4 haha dream on.
